There is a trend of music of going towards the space age as we approach the twenty first century. This started when the diva of English pop, Madonna, started with the use of this music in her album, 'Ray of Light' . Many other singers have followed suit after that.
Space age music has been so popular that it has now been widely used even in Chinese pop. Listen to Queen of Chinese pop Faye Wong and Hong Kong songbird Sandy Lam. They have both incorporated Space Age Music to their songs and were well received by Chinese audiences. Faye Wong's Mandarin album, < While Faye Wong's album was still selling hot, Sandy Lam came up with another album which had the extensive use of futuristic music elements, so much so that it was dubbed 'Music For The New Century' by many critics. To have a feel of what Space Age music is like, listen to 'Decadence'. World Music  Enter a whole new world of world music. Experience the sounds of the various tribal communities and the different musical instruments used by these communities. Listen to the chanting of prayers, or the use of the tradional Chinese instrument, Er-Hu. That's all world music is about, and many singers are putting these into pop songs, making them another sound to watch out for in the future. Don't believe? Techno Music Techno Music is music which has the extensive use of electric synthesizers, making it very popular with teenagers because of its trendiness.
